Liability Insurance - very important !!!
According to current law, the legal release of liability (see Participant Terms and Conditions) that each participant signs prior to the event applies only to property damage. It is no longer possible to have a blanket policy that covers the legal liability for personal damages to all the other participants. It would therefore be theoretically possible for one participant to sue another for personal damages if the other one was supposedly at fault for a racetrack accident. Disregarding whether one can even assign fault for a racetrack accident, we are committed to protecting our participants. After much thought and reflection, we have decided to make it a requirement that each participant completes a liability insurance policy. We are of the opinion that the additional cost to the participants is justified many times over in terms of safety and peace of mind. The liability insurance from Gothaer is specially tailored to the conditions of motorcycle racer and sport rider training events.

Accident Insurance
Basic Accident Insurance
We offer our participants with an annual
enrollment optimal insurance
protection.
All participants with an annual
enrollment are covered by a Basic Accident Insurance policy automatically and
for free.
This policy encompasses:
- Disability Compensation
If the insured incurs permanent bodily damage due to an accident a payment will be received one year after the accident, the amount of which is determined by the type and degree of disability.
maximum 16,000 EUR
- Death
If the insured loses his life due to an accident the following sum will be paid.
8,000 EUR
Enhanced Basic Accident Insurance
Additionally, participants can expand upon the basic insurance listed
above for a cost of 10 EUR/event day.
All participants can choose to be covered by the basic insurance listed
above for a cost of 10 EUR/event day.
Participants with an annual
enrollment can enhance their basic insurance with that fee.
This includes the following benefits:
- Disability Compensation
If the insured incurs permanent bodily damage due to an accident a payment will be received one year after the accident, the amount of which is determined by the type and degree of disability.
maximum 31,000 EUR (max. 200% progression) plus 16,000 EUR from the basic insurance policy.
- Death
If the insured loses his life due to an accident the following sum will be paid.
15,500 EUR plus 8,000 EUR from the basic insurance policy.
Annual
Accident Insurance for Race track Riders
Most all insurance companies principally exclude coverage for accidents resulting from "events tailored to the attainment of high speeds", which includes racetrack based training events. This is an enormous drawback, since for most of our riders, especially hobby racers, precisely this sort of coverage is very important. Most of us need to return to work and family the next day or the day after.
With an accident insurance policy, we cannot remove the risk of an accident resulting in serious injury or permanent disability, but we can, however, reduce the impact on our lives such an accident could have. Finally there is an opportunity! We would recommend EVERY participant at our events to take out such an insurance policy, and both of us will sleep more soundly! Following is a summary of possible options. Just fill out the form below, send it to us, and you will receive a regular information package and application. Fill it out, send it off, and when it has been received you are covered for accidents (in general and) on the track. By the way, these are for 1 year contracts, that renew automatically for 1 year, so to say, no overly long term contracts.
Accident insurance covers the insured person for bodily damages due to an accident. The general terms and conditions of most insurance companies (which are generally the same) excludes coverage from damage incurred from an accident occurring during participation in a motor sport event. In comparison, the Gothaer Insurance policy covers damage incurring from an accident the insured is involved in, even if he is involved in hobby motor sports. The degree of coverage is determined by the basic coverage chosen (can be seen in the application form) and the loss of extremities rate table.
There are three types of coverage:
- Disability Compensation
If the insured incurs permanent bodily damage due to an accident a payment will be received one year after the accident, the amount of which is determined by the type and degree of disability.
Maximum insurable amount is 150,000 EUR.
- Death
If the insured loses his life due to an accident the following sum will be paid.
Maximum insurable amount is 100,000 EUR.
- Monthly Accident Pension
The monthly accident pension is paid when the disability is more than 50% (as per extremities table)
Maximum insurable amount is 750 EUR per month.
- Accident Illness and Recovery Payment
Maximum insurable amount is 25 EUR/day for a maximum of 10 days
- Rescue Costs and Cosmetic Operations
3,000 EUR each, are included free of charge

Event Cancellation Insurance
10 € per event day
- Cancellation up to 90 days prior to event start
› no charge, money will be fully refunded - Cancellation up to 15 days prior to event start
› money will be refunded minus a cancellation fee of 25 Euro - Cancellation up to 5 days prior to event start
› 75% of money will be refunded in the form of a gift certificate valid for 1 year - Cancellation up to 1 day prior to event start
› 50% of money will be refunded in the form of a gift certificate valid for 1 year
Event start is considered to be when sign up opens the day before the
first day of riding on the track.
