Information for Beginners

As promised, here is more information about that famous 'first time' on the racetrack. Many people who are interested are held back by misgivings about faster riders and possible crashes. Our Beginners group is at every training event (except those in Spain) and is targeted at precisely those of you.

This group is comprised entirely of Beginners, similarly to, for example, a ski school. There are of course experienced instructors who will instruct you in the necessities of riding fast and show you the right line, braking points and accelerating points. Hereby they ride ahead for several rounds, gradually increasing the speed. Afterwards, you ride ahead of the instructor and they can observe the riding style of the participants. Back in the pits, they will go over with each of  you, any errors or things that could use improvement, and answer your questions. In this way, it is relatively easy, quick and safe to reach a high level of sports riding competence and to ride without an instructor within a reasonable period of time.

The most important thing during this instructor led training is, however, that you learn elemental racetrack rules and etiquette. This way, you may still be "slow", but since you will ride in a fashion  predictable for the other riders on the track, you will be safe.

P.S. Everyone started somewhere.
